1 Lb Almonds
1 Lb Walnuts
2 TSP ButterOptional
Presenting a homemade energy bar with four ingredients – Dates, Almonds and Walnuts and butter. Coarsly grind 1 part of almonds, toast it in butter, add 1 part of walnut, crushed up in similar size pieces, roast some more. Subsequently use 2 parts of dates, mushed up in a food processor or blender. Dates provide enough sugar and base to bind it all together. Cut in shapes and sizes of your choice and enjoy!
Grind Almonds, Walnuts and Roast
Grind Almonds, roast them in a pan with butter until golden brown. Add ground/crushed walnuts, roast more. Blend dates to a pulp, add to the mix. Mix on medium heat until all ingredients mix together nicely. Spread the mixture on a coockie sheet, buttered if non-stick. Press down with a parchment paper and subsequently with a flat object like a bowl. Once spread uniformly, cut in candy-bar / eating size pieces. Let it cool further and separate cut pieces. Wrapping each piece individually in an aluminum foil wrapper will make them more appealing for school/college kids.
